ALBATTS Steering Board Meeting conclusions
Chaired by Petr Dolejsi from ACEA, an ALBATTS Steering Board was held on March 15, 2021.
In this meeting, the project coordinator Anders Norberg provided an overview of the projects' achievements and an insight on the plans for the near future. In his intervention, Anders underlined that the project covered mobile and stationary batteries and their whole value-chain.
Kristina Edstrom, from Battery2030+, informed about their outreach with respect to the Batteries Europe and 2Zero initiatives.
The Steering Board members referred to connected initiatives with which ALBATTS could create synergies, like the technology Platforms, i.e., under ERTRAC, which covers wide range of stakeholders, or EPOSS. The Chair, together with CLEPA, will analyse possibilities to engage 2Zero and other initiatives with ALBATTS SB.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the presentation of the concept of the Automotive Skills Alliance, as a key partnership in the Pact for skills for the mobility ecosystem. The Skills Alliance is based on the Pact for Skills (launched in November 2020) and the partnership for automotive is one of the first partnerships set.
Its design and development is business led, but constructed in a close cooperation with DG GROW and DG EMPL of the European Commission.
A follow-up Steering Board meeting will be called in early Q3 2021.
